On April 23, Lady Gaga released the tracklist for her new album Chromatica through her Twitter. BLACKPINK was named on the 10th track “Sour Candy.” No specific information on the album’s release schedule has been released yet, but the news alone has sparked explosive reactions among global fans.

YG Entertainment said, “BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga became a fan of each other and naturally worked on this project.”

Besides BLACKPINK, Lady Gaga’s collaborations include Ariana Grande and Elton John. The fact that BLACKPINK was able to put their name side by side with these artists, who represent the pop music, certainly adds more meaning to the collaboration.

Expectations are high on how BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga will perform in “Sour Candy.” Major foreign media outlets such as Forbes, Variety, MTV, People, Pitchfork immediately addressed the news of BLACKPINK participating in Lady Gaga’s new album, noting the collaboration they will show in the future.

Meanwhile, not only did BLACKPINK participated in Lady Gaga’s new album, they are currently in preparations for their own new album.
