Attention is focusing on whether actor Gong Yoo will appear in new Netflix original series The Silent Sea, produced by Jung Woo Sung.
According to an official from Management SOOP, Gong Yoo’s agency, the actor is considering a role in new Netflix original series The Silent Sea. He also added that the role Gong Yoo was offered is Yoon Jae, a soldier from the aerospace agency and team leader.
The Silent Sea, in which Jung Woo Sung participates as a producer and an actor, is an SF thriller that follows a story of elite scientists who set off for the moon to retrieve some unknown samples from an abandoned research station on the year of 2030. It is based on the eponymous 2014 short film directed by Choi Hang Yong, which garnered attention at the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival the same year.
Meanwhile, The Silent Sea will be produced in 8 episodes and will start filming in August.
