The upcoming film Peninsula, scheduled to be released this summer, will create virtual reality content and meet overseas movie fans.
NEW, the film’s distribution company, announced on April 20 that they singed a VR (virtual reality) global copyright contract with Singapore’s special effects production company Vividtree.
With the deal, contents of Peninsula will be reborn as new contents including VR, escape missions and theme houses. The previous film, Train to Busan (2016), has gone on tours all over the world with VR content since 2018, grabbing the attention.
Yeon Sang Ho’s new film, Peninsula, starring Kang Dong Won and Lee Jung Hyun, depicts the final battle between survivors and zombies on a ruined land four years after Train to Busan.
