‘Hi Bye, Mama!’ Is Buried in Negative Comments for Its Ridiculous Development

Viewers are getting angry at the absurd development. With only one episode left till the end, tvN’s Hi Bye, Mama! is buried in negative comments.

Hi Bye, Mama!, which gained much attention even from the production stage with actor Kim Tae Hee‘s return to the small screen, are under fire for its unreasonable development. The drama aired its first episode on February 22, recording 5.895% viewer ratings. Then up until the 12th episode, the viewership for the drama continued to stay in the 5-6% range. But with its absurd storyline, the viewer ratings have fallen to 4%.

The drama mainly revolves around Cha Yu Ri (Kim Tae Hee), a ghost who miraculously stepped into reality. She gently expressed her affection for her daughter, Seo Woo Jin (Jo Seo Woo), longing for her husband, Jo Gang Hwa (Lee Kyu Hyung), and regret for her friends and family.

Kim Tae Hee, who returned to the small screen after taking a break for the past five years, showed solid acting, grabbing the attention. Also, Lee Kyu Hyung showed impressive performances, enlivening the story.

However, from the second half of the drama, overall development started to shake. Cha Yu Ri became a character who doesn’t have a goal or even seemed like she gave up on everything. Then even the story started to revolve around Gang Hwa’s current wife, Min Jung (Go Bo Gyeol), turning the entire storyline upside down.

With only the final episode left, attention is being paid on whether the drama will able to get back on its original track, though it might be too late.
