BTS has shown the possibility of an “untact (un-contact) concert.” More than 2 million people from all over the world were simultaneously watching the “BANGBANGCON” held online through YouTube for two days over the weekend.

As of 5:30 p.m. on April 19 KST, 1.26 million viewers were watching “BANGBANGCON,” which is being aired on BANGTANTV, BTS’s official channel on YouTube. Although the number does not match the number from yesterday, which was 2.2 million (recorded around the time BANGBANGCON first started), it is certainly unusual for more than 1 million people to watch the event.

“BANGBANGCON” is an online streaming festival in which BTS’s agency Big Hit Entertainment will unveil eight live performances of past concerts and fan meetings for a total of 24 hours from noon to noon on July 18 and 19 KST. The event was planned for ARMY after the “BTS Map of the Soul” World Tour was either canceled or postponed due to the aftermath of COVID-19.

The fact that you can see the growth of BTS, from their debut to recent success, over the period of two days is catching the eye,

Attempts have also been made to supplement the sense of realism. To enhance the realistic feel of the event, a new system has been set up to link cheer sticks (ARMY Bomb) around the world through Weverse. If you connect the cheer sticks with Weverse through Bluetooth, the color of the sticks will automatically change to match the songs.
