Asia seems to have fallen in love with Itaewon Class and Crash Landing on You. Naturally, Park Seo Joon and Hyun Bin are entering the new golden age.
JTBC’s Itaewon Class and tvN’s Crash Landing on You, respectively, ended one and two months ago, but the craze has now begun in Asia. The two dramas, which had swept Korea first, are spreading their charms throughout Asia.
With the unhindered popularity of Crash Landing on You, the drama made the headlines on three of Taiwan’s four major daily newspapers. Also, fan pages regarding the drama are being created in Southeast Asia, followed by interviews and data requests from foreign media such as CNN, AP, ABC News, and Forbes.
According to PCMag, as of the 10th, Crash Landing on You ranked fourth on the most viewed contents on OTT worldwide, including Netflix, Hulu, and HBO.
Itaewon Class is also showing its potential. The drama ranked second in the overall ranking of Netflix Japan and topped in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore.
Actor Park Seo Joon’s popularity is also rising rapidly. In Thailand, Park Seo Joon’s previous drama What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim also ranked third in Netflix.
