On April 15, a five-minute highlight video of SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama The King: Eternal Monarch was uploaded on SBS NOW YouTube channel.

A shot is fired and a boy is seen collapsing as a mysterious flute is played in the background. Then someone walks up to the collapsed boy covered with blood, and the child is seen holding the ID of Jung Tae Eul, a detective.

Soon, a narration in Lee Min Ho’s voice comes out, saying, “Would it be here? The reason I survived that day.”

With this, the love that even goes beyond the dimension between Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun is revealed. From the intense first meeting to heartwarming romance between the two were heralded, raising the expectations.

The King: Eternal Monarch, a parallel universe fantasy romance drama, depicts the collaboration between Yi Gon, the emperor of the Korean Empire, and Jung Tae Eul, a detective of Republic of Korea, as they close the gate of the dimension.

The fact that Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun got together with writer Kim Eun Sook, who is called the “Viewership Queen,” for the second time drew keen attention even from the production stage.

Meanwhile, The King: Eternal Monarch will premiere at 10:00 p.m. on April 17 KST.
