Will actor Joo Won be returning to the big screen for the first time in five years with Firefighter (literal translation)?
According to the actor’s agency, Joo Won got an offer to star in the movie Firefighter, directed by Kwak Kyung Taek, and is considering it.
If Joo Won confirms his appearance, this is the first time in five years that he will be returning to the big screen since FATAL INTUITION, released in 2015.
Director Kwak Kyung Taek’s new film Firefighter, which he is preparing after Battle of Jangsari, released last year, is a film that will cover the story of the firefighters.
Originally, actor Yoo Seung Ho was planning on starring as one of the main characters, but recently decided to drop out due to scheduling issues. Joo Won is now offered the same role. Actors Kwak Do Won and Yoo Jae Myung already confirmed their appearances.
Even though the schedules have been postponed due to coronavirus, Firefighter is planning on filming in the first half of the year.
Joo Won, who was discharged from the army in February, is set to return to the small screen with SBS’s Alice.
