Actor Bae Doo Na is expected to star in the Netflix original series The Silent Sea (working title), produced by actor Jung Woo Sung.
According to the actor’s agency, SBD Entertainment, Bae Doo Na is positively discussing her appearance in The Silent Sea.
The Silent Sea is a mystery sci-fi thriller that follows a story of elite scientists who set off for the moon to retrieve some unknown samples from an abandoned research station. It is based on the eponymous 2014 short film directed by Choi Hang Yong, which garnered attention at the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival the same year.
Director Choi Hang Yong, who directed the original film, will participate in the work as a director, actor Jung Woo Sung will act as a producer and writer Park Eun Kyo, who wrote Mother, will write the script.
If she decides to star in the series, Bae Doo Na will play the lead role, one of the members going to investigate an abandoned research base on the moon.
The Silent Sea plans to start filming in the first half of this year as soon as it completes the cast.
