On April 10, Wonho wrote about his feelings on his personal fan cafe after news of him signing a contract with Highline Entertainment as a solo artist and a producer.

He wrote, “I know I can’t turn back the things that I’ve done wrong. What I can tell you is that I will try not to cause anymore troubles and make you feel good one day. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to become a better person. I will continue to be grateful. Thank you for allowing me to keep the promise.”

Various controversies over Wonho began when Jung Da Eun, who starred on comedyTV’s Ulzzang Generation with Wonho, exposed some disturbing facts about him last October. At the time, Jung Da Eun revealed his default on debt, allegations of special theft as a teenager and suspicion of smoking weed.

When the controversies stirred up the public, Wonho left the group and also terminated his contract with his former agency, Starship Entertainment.

Since then, he has been cleared of the charges of smoking weed on March 10 after engaging in a police investigation.

However, opinions of his comeback is divided into two opposite sides, where some are welcoming his resumed career as an artist whereas some are highly upset by the fact that he is already continuing his career.
