Prosecutors Demand 7 and 5 Years of Prison Sentences for Jung Joon Young & Choi Jong Hoon at Appeals Court

Prosecutors have requested that singers Jung Joon Young and Choi Jong Hoon, who are suspected of participating in collective sexual assault, be sentenced to seven and five years in prison, as in the original sentence.

Previously, Jung Joon Young received a 6-year prison sentence for illegally recording women with hidden cameras and collective sexual assault, where as Choi Jong Hoon, a former member of FT Island, received a sentence of 5 years. However, both of them appealed their sentences.

At the appeal court, prosecutors asked to reject their appeals and cite the prosecution’s appeal. They demanded 7-year prison sentence for Jung Joon Young, 5 years for Choi Jong Hoon, and 10 years for Kwon (also known as the older brother of Girls’ Generation’s Yuri) who previously received a prison sentence of 4 years.

The next trial for sentencing will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 7 KST.
