On April 2nd, Bolbbalgan4’s Woo Ji Yoon announced that she will be leaving the group to go on a separate path. In her letter to the fans, she wrote, “I thought seriously about my future path, and I thought that this is a very important time for me to try something new before it gets too late.” Her partner Ahn Ji Young also wrote, “I’m sad about her decision, but I will cheer her on as a friend.”
After her leave, her fans questioned whether she would stay with her agency and continue her music career. And it was reported on April 8th that her contract with Shofar Music had also expired with her leave from the group leaving many curious where she would take her music next.
Meanwhile, Bolbbalgan4 will continue as a one member group with Ahn Ji Young, and the fans can expect to see a new album from her this May.
