According the film industry, Jung Hae In has recently been offered to star in D.P Dog’s Day and is positively discussing the details. D.P Dog’s Day (hereinafter referred as DP), based on the webtoon of the same name that received great love in Korea and Japan, is under the theme of “the soldier who catches deserters.” The story depicts the agony of young people who are driven to desert from the army from the soldier’s eyes.

Originally, Lezhin Comics and Dice Film tried to filmize DP, but they reversed the course and decided to turn it into a six-episode seasonal series and release it through Netflix. Director Han Joo Hee of Coinlocker Girl and Hit-and-Run Squadwill be in charge of directing the series. If he confirms his appearance, Jung Hae In will play Ahn Joon Ho, the soldier who catches deserters and listens to their stories.

The meeting between Jun Hae In, DP and Netflix is expected to draw great attention. Since the original webtoon depicts the situation in Korea, absurdities and the agony of young people who are forced to join the military and eventually desert, considerable repercussions are expected. The webtoon DP is a popular work that has attracted 10 million views at Lezhin Comics.
