On April 1, Wheesung, a singer currently undergoing the police investigation for illegal drug use, collapsed after injecting anesthetics. Police were reported to have been dispatched.
According to the reports, the police were dispatched after receiving a report that a man had collapsed in a public bathroom around 8:30 p.m. on April 1. Several plastic bags, syringes and bottles containing liquid were reportedly found at the site.
After arriving at the scene police found out that the man is in fact Wheesung and brought him into the station to check if he used illegal drugs, but the urine test tested negative of any illegal drug usages.
Police believe that the drug used by the singer is a type of anesthetics that is not designated as a narcotic and sent him home for now but will investigate again later.
Wheesung is currently under police investigation for suspected drug usages. On March 26, The Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Station announced that they recently obtained information regarding Wheesung using propofol and started an investigation.
This is not the first time that the singer has been suspected of propofol usages. Previously, while Wheesung was serving in the military, he was questioned by prosecutors in 2013 on charges of habitually taking propofol at a dermatology and other places from 2011 to early 2013. Later on July 10, 2013, he was cleared of all charges.
If the allegations of his use of illegal drugs are true, the public are agreeing to a strict punishment, but they are also sending concerns for his current mental state.
