Big Hit Entertainment (hereinafter referred as Big Hit) recorded 587.2 billion KRW (approx. 481,083,095 USD) in overall sales in 2019, the highest performance since its inception.
Big Hit released the audit report for 2019 and the business reults on March 31. According to the data, Big Hit continued its best performance since its inception in 2019, with sales of 587.2 billion KRW (approx. 481,083,095 USD) and business profits of 98.7 billion KRW (approx. 80,847,300 USD). The figure represents a 95% increase in sales and 24% increase in business profits compared to the results of 2018.
Bug Hit sold 3.72 million copies of BTS‘s MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA in 2019. Overall, including BTS, GFRIEND and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Big Hit sold 6 million albums in total.
Last year, Big Hit, which created professional corporate systems in each field by dividing the business departments, increased its overall sales by increasing the growth rate especially in platform sector. Also, their North American market has shown great results in terms of sales volume and growth rate.
