JTBC‘s new drama The World of the Married, a follow-up of Itaewon Class, has earned explosive reactions from the viewers. It’s surpassed the ratings of 11 percent in just two episodes.

The second episode of The World of the Married, which aired on March 28, recorded the nationwide 10 percent ratings and 11 percent ones in the Seoul metropolitan area (provided by Nielsen Korea and based on the pay-per-view households). At the same time, the drama broke its own record of the highest ratings since its first episode.

Throughout the second episode of The World of the Married, the tension between Ji Sun Woo (Kim Hee Ae) and her husband Lee Tae Oh (Park Hae Joon) rose far higher as the precarious couple started to split in earnest. Many netizens have left favorable comments about the episode, such as “I managed to sleep at around 4 a.m. after watching this drama,” “the ending scenes gave me the creeps,” “time flew so fast,” and “I got too immersed in the story thanks to Kim Hee Ae’s crazy acting.”
