JTBC’s The World of the Married, which aired for the first time on March 27, caught the eye and ear of the viewers with its intensity even from the start. The first episode recorded 6.3% nationwide viewership and 6.8% viewership in Seoul metropolitan area (based on Nielsen Korea), marking a great start.

During the episode, Ji Sun Woo, who found cherry-flavored lip balm from her husband’s outer coat and an orange hair on his muffler, started to suspect him. After tailing him, she found out that Lee Tae Oh, her husband, had another woman, and was deeply shocked as she realized that even the people around her had been deceiving her, helping her husband to continue his affair.

After figuring out the truth, she was tormented by despair. The scene where she cried out, “Everyone around me was completely deceiving me,” and walking into her husband’s birthday party with a sharp scissors hidden behind her back grabbed the attention.

Especially, Kim Hee Ae, the actor playing the role of Ji Sun Woo, showed impressive performances as she presented various emotions of her character from suspicions to despair to exasperation.
