The King: Eternal Monarch is a fantasy romance about the two parallel universes of a monarchy and a democracy. Lee Gon, the Emperor of the Korean Empire, tries to close the gate between the two worlds, and detective Jung Tae Eul joins forces with him to protect the people.

In the drama, Lee Min Ho and Woo Do Hwan will each take on the role of Lee Gon, the Emperor of Korean Empire, and Cho Young, the Guard Commander of Korean Empire. The two met as the master and the vassal in their childhood and became bonded as close brother as they went through the ups and downs together. They became the rock for each other.

On March 26, The King: Eternal Monarch released the still photos of Lee Min Ho and Woo Do Hwan. The scene presents the two facing each other in the emperor’s study, heralding a unique bromance between them.

“Lee Min Ho and Woo Do Hwan naturally expressed the image of the bond between the emperor and the commander,” said the production company, Hwa & Dam Pictures, raising the expectations of the viewers.

Also, The King: Eternal Monarch released their official poster yesterday, catching the eye of the viewers.

Meanwhile, The King: Eternal Monarch is set to premiere in April.
