Through a recent Instagram post, Girls’ Generation‘s Tiffany voiced her concerns on prejudice against Asians that have been going on in the midst of the coronavirus epidemic.
Since the COVID-19 epidemic began, many Asian-Americans have been facing racism. Even President Donald Trump made headlines for calling the virus “the Chinese virus”, which many have been saying only further encourages the racism towards Asians.
Tiffany took to her Instagram on March 25th to express her thoughts on the matter, by posting a picture of her and her dog at home with the caption stating, “…. 2020 has been an emotional free fall for us all. I’ve been doing my part to stay at home. It saddens me to see the racism Asians around the world are faced with, & I hope everyone can remember humanity and love above anything else through drastic times like this. We are fighting this together. The world needs a hug right now”.
