Park Bo Gum transformed the final episode of JTBC’s Itaewon Class into the melodrama just for two minutes.
In the 16th episode aired at night on March 21 (KST), Oh Soo Ah (Kwon Nara) established her own restaurant after quitting work at Jangga Group. Park Bo Gum played a minor role of the new chef who visited Soo Ah’s restaurant to have an interview for his job. With his handsome face and various expressions, the actor made the viewers more excited than ever, even though he appeared in the drama only for about two minutes.
The connection between Park Bo Gum and Itaewon Class dates back a few years. In 2016, Park starred in KBS’s historical drama Love in the Moonlight (also known as Moonlight Drawn by Clouds), which was directed by producer Kim Sung Yoon. Kim Sung Yoon is a director of Itaewon Class, so he was able to cast Park Bo Gum again as a cameo role in his latest drama.
Itaewon Class is Kim’s first production in JTBC since his transfer from KBS to there in March 2017. This is perhaps why Park Bo Gum gladly accepted his proposal of acting such a small role. Changing Itaewon Class into the new romance just for a while, he proved his own “Park Bo Gum Class.”
