JTBC’s new series Ssanggab Cart Bar, starring Hwang Jung Eum and Yook Sung Jae, will be airing its first episode on May 20.
Ssanggab Cart Bar is a fantasy counseling drama where a feisty owner of a mysterious cart bar and an innocent part-timer helps the customers mend their sorrow by entering into their dreams.
The released poster presents the familiar image of the “cart bar” with its orange-colored exterior, and green stripped roof, a warm incandescent lamp reflected on a tent, and a signboard announcing the opening day.
After announcing the premiere date set for May 20, the production team of the drama said, “We have already completed all the shootings with a goal of pre-production. So we will focus on the quality of the work and present a more full and completed story.”
They also added that “We ask for your interest and love for the first episode and the counseling of the star actors like Hwang Jung Eum, Yook Sung Jae, Choi Won Young, Lee Jun Hyuk and Jung Da Eun.”
Ssanggab Cart Bar is based on a webtoon of the same name by Baek Hye Soo, who earned a perfect 10-points-ratings from the readers and was recognized for her cinematic quality by winning the 2017 Korea Comic Awards.
