Wonho, a former member of MONSTA X, was found “not guilty” of all drug charges.
“The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug investigation team ended their investigation into the drug charges, including marijuana, on March 10, and cleared Wonho of all charges,” Starship Entertainment, Wonho’s agency, announced in an official statement on March 14.
They added, “Since Wonho was suspected of smoking weed last October, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug investigation team conducted an investigation. During the process, Wonho has actively cooperated with the investigation, including scientific examinations by investigative agencies.” They also explained that Wonho was cleared of all charges even after five months of thorough investigations and that the drug investigation unit officially closed the internal investigation of the singer on March 10.
Regardless of the fact, Starship apologized once again for being involved in such issues and thanked the fans for their unwavering support during the investigations. During the investigation, the agency tried their best to minimize the media exposure of the singer and appointed an attorney to prevent any unfair charges. They finished their statement by saying that they will “provide full support for Wonho for his future career.”
