‘March Comeback’ ITZY, NCT 127, Will They Break the Frozen K-POP Scene?

With the spread of COVID-19, the entire pop culture world is suffering a great deal. However, hot K-POP groups are coming back. NCT 127, ITZY, VICTON, Taeyeon, Se Jeong, Kang Daniel and Ong Seong Wu are preparing the meet their fans.

NCT 127 is coming back with their second full-length album NCT #127 Neo Zone, which is scheduled to be released at 6:00 p.m on March 6 KST through various music sites including, Melon, Flaw, Genie, iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify. The album has a total of 13 songs in various genres, including the title track “Hero.” “Hero” is a hip-hop dance song with a powerful tempo that combines addictive signature vocoder sounds of dynamic bass gliding sauces and NCT 127’s energetic vocals.

ITZY will be back with its second mini album IT’z ME on May 9. ITZY appeared like a comet to the K-POP scene with its debut song “DALLA DALLA” by presenting their prowess with their powerful choreography and visuals. The title track “WANNABE” of the upcoming album is a fusion groove genre that inherits the colors of “DALLA DALLA.” The song will show you how ITZY decided to break out of the formality created by others.

VICTON will make a comeback with all seven members, including Han Seung Woo, in about a year and 10 months after their first single TIME OF SORROW in 2018. With the message of “we are still connected even with the end of love” in every track, Continuous will be released at 6:00 p.m on March 9 through various music sites. The title track “Howling,“ is an impressive dance song with lyrics expressing feelings for a missed one with hip-hop based beats and sounds reminiscent of sad cries.

Taeyeon will release her new single Happy on March 9, following her second full-length album Purpose released earlier. Taeyeon has set various records with her second full-length album and repackage album, including topping the major local music charts, and topping iTunes Top Albums Chart in 21 countries, the largest number reached as female solo album from Korea. With such records, her new song is raising expectations.

Se Jeong of Gugudan will release her first mini album Flowerpot on March 17. Having trained her skills with her previous solo tracks including “Flower Road,” “Tunnel” and various OST songs, she is set to revive another warm spring atmosphere with the album.

Kang Daniel, who took a short break since December due to health problems, also released a teaser image of his comeback. It has been three months since the digital album TOUCHIN released in last November.

Ong Seong Wu, who is currently starring in JTBC’s Traveler-Argentina, will continue his music career with his first mini album. The artist wrote and composed the entire song, following his digital single, WE BELONG, which was released in January. His upcoming album LAYERS will be released on March 25.
