SM Entertainment Contribute 500 Million KRW to Prevent COVID-19

SM Entertainment, a leading Korean entertainment agency, donated 500 million won (approximately 416,452 USD) to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

According to Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, SM Entertainment donated 500 million KRW to medical staff who are focusing on treating COVID-19 patients across the country on February 28.

Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association stated “SM Entertainment have sent donations to help medical staff and disinfection personnel who are fighting COVID-19. The donation will be used to support medical supplies, including protective clothing and masks.”

SM Entertainment launched its social contribution brand “SMile” in 2014 and has been engaged in various social contribution activities using its contents and infrastructures, including artist talent donation, sponsorship, cultural/education support, employee volunteer corps, activities through partnerships and “SMile Music Festival” for aspiring musicians.
