K-POP group BTS won four awards in the 34th Japan Gold Disc Awards.
According to the details of Gold Disc Awards released by the Japan Record Association on February 27, BTS won four awards, including “Best Asian Artist,” “Best 5 Singles,” “Song of the Year by Download” and “Best Music Video.”
This is the second year that BTS was names the “Best Asian Artist” following last year. In addition, the 10th single album Lights/Boy With Luv, which was released last July and became the first Korean/foreign male artists to be certified as “Million,” was selected in the “Best 5 Singles” category, while the title song “Lights” was named “Song of the Year by Download.”
In addition, “BTS WORLD TOUR’s “LOVE YOURSELF” ~JAPAN EDITION~,” a video that shows the behind-the-scenes of BTS World Tour Love Yourself Japan Edition was selected the “Best Music Video” category following last year.
Organized by the Japan Record Association, the Gold Disc Awards in Japan will select and present artists and their works that have contributed to the development of the music industry throughout the year. The winners of each category will be determined based on the albums/videos sales released over the past year.
