The Woman Who Ran, the upcoming film directed by Hong Sang Soo and starring his fellow actor and girlfriend Kim Min Hee, is being screened for the first time at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival held from Feb. 20 through March 1.
The movie is being initially shown at the Berlinale Palast, the main theatre of this film festival, for a press screening in the morning on Feb. 25 (in local time). Since then, The Woman Who Ran is having its own world premiere in the afternoon on the same day and will be officially screened from Feb. 26 til Feb. 28.
Thanks to The Woman Who Ran, Hong Sang Soo was also invited to the Competition section of the Berlin International Film Festival for the fourth time in his life. His previous works invited to the same section were Night And Day, Nobody’s Daughter Haewon and On the Beach at Night Alone. Kim Min Hee, who starred the main character in On the Beach at Night Alone as well, won the Best Actress award at the festival because of that film. Will Hong Sang Soo and Kim Min Hee be honored with the major awards in Berlin again?
