Crash Landing On You finished its journey with the tvN’s highest ratings. However, the allegations of plagiarism that surface earlier have been reignited.
Before Crash Landing On You aired, a new writer wrote on online community with a title, “Why I was so surprised by Park Ji Eun’s ‘Crash Landing On You’ log line.” He added that the overall storyline and the beginning of the drama are too similar to the works he submitted for the contests from 2021 to 2013.
“I was shocked when I read the love story between the heroine making a crash landing on North Korea from a paragliding accident and a North Korean special force soldier who finds her,” he commented.
Although the suspicion of plagiarism was raised, his claim was naturally forgotten as the drama was officially aired and quickly gain its fame.
However, the writer later posted that he was suddenly sued by Crash Landing On You‘s side. He then added that he has submitted the applications’ receipt, the synopsis and the script he wrote as evidence to the police.
As of now, all the posts have been deleted.
