Actor Sung Hoon honestly revealed the truth behind the rumors of an in-house romantic relationship with his fellow comedian Park Na Rae.
Reporter Eun’s LIT NEWS, a pop culture news channel on YouTube, recently had an interview with Sung Hoon, who is enjoying his second heyday after his appearance on MBC‘s reality show I Live Alone., at the filming site of a commercial. He said, “I Live Alone is a TV program to which I’ve already attached,” adding “the teamwork has naturally generated among us because all members have good personalities and the time we spend together has grown longer.”
I Live Alone is the representative entertainment show of MBC, which has been loved by Korean viewers for more than seven years. Sung Hoon won the prizes at the MBC Entertainment Awards for two consecutive years thanks to this show. He explained about the secrets to I Live Alone’s long-run, saying “every week new guests come out and show us their different lives with fun, so I think a lot of viewers agree with them very well.”
Sung Hoon seemed fairly friendly with Park Na Rae at the 2019 MBC Entertainment Awards (he even rearranged the lower ends of her dress!), sparking rumors of the “in-house romance.” In response to the rumors, he clarified that he had just caught the dress because his turn of entry to the stage had been right after her at that time.
When asked about his real personality, Sung Hoon answered, “I’m not that talkative. I’m playful, but I don’t talk very well,” saying “Whenever I’ shoot an episode of I Live Alone on the studio, I do it with more tension to make it fun for viewers.” He added openly, “I used to hate taking care of my looks, but I’m happy because I just dress up more comfortably since my appearance on I Live Alone.”

Sung Hoon, who marks the tenth year since his debut this year, aims to establish himself as an actor within the year. His upcoming movie Are You In Love? is released this March. “I’m interested in the fantasy and comedy genres. I’d like to approach people as a simple character whom viewers can watch easily. If I positioned myself quite as an actor, wouldn’t it be better for the I Live Alone crews as well?” He said at the end of the interview.
