BTS‘s V congratulated actor Choi Woo Shik, also known as his old friend, as well as the director Bong Joon Ho for Parasite‘s historic wins at the 92nd Academy Awards.
After Parasite won the four major awards including the Best Picture one at the Oscars, V sent a message of his congratulation to both Bong and Choi on BTS’s official Twitter. He tweeted it with some wit, saying “Very very very, truly and sincerely, congratulations to Mr. Bong Joon Ho. Woo Shik, I was glad to see you wipe your tears (this sentence was accompanied with a hashtag).”

Last June, V promoted Parasite personally with his active supports through a Naver V Live show for fans during BTS’s tour. He also shared two videos, showing him and Choi Woo Shik walking and eating snacks in Los Angeles late January. Those were posted on BTS’s official Twitter shortly after Parasite won a Cast In A Motion Picture prize at the 26th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.
