Beginning on November 17th EST, a large ad for Song Hye Kyo began to run in Times Square as a special event that her fans prepared for her birthday, which is on November 22nd. The event was organized by both Korean and international Song Hye Kyo fans, and displayed a large picture of the actress along with the words “Happy Birthday SongHyeKyo”.
This type of event, though common among Korean idols, was the very first time a Korean actress was gifted a Times Square ad for her birthday.
