On October 28th, JYP Entertainment released a statement deeply saddening the hearts of many stays around the world, by revealing Stray Kids Woojin’s departure from the band. Due to the light of the event, the band and their awaited mini album’s release date has been pushed back.
The company’s statement read,
“Hello, this is JYP Entertainment. Woojin, who has been with Stray Kids as a member until this time, has decided to leave the group due to personal circumstances and has terminated his exclusive contract. We express our deepest apologies for causing trouble to many fans with the sudden news. As a result, Stray Kids’ mini album “Clé: LEVANTER,” which was scheduled for a November 25th release, will be delayed to December 9th.
We once again express our apologies to the fans who have been waiting for a long time. We ask for much support for Woojin who will be going on a new path, and we also ask for the warm support of STAY for the eight Stray Kids members who will once again go on the road towards achieving their dreams with their compass. Thank you.”
